From the Health Office

Greetings from the Randall Health office!  Nurse Amber and Ms. Terri are so excited to work with your children.  Please see our MMSD Covid response website for a lot of good information.  A few key points:

  • You should get a Covid screener e-mail every morning from MMSD.  If your child is healthy and coming to school, you do NOT need to fill it out.  If they have one of the symptoms listed in the screener, please fill the e-mail screener out, call Franklin attendance line at 608-204-2294 or use the web attendance to report your child absent, and a nurse will follow up with you.  You may need to contact your provider for a PCR test if warranted.
  • The symptoms you want to keep your child home for are fever, cough, congestion, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or if your child was a close contact with a Covid positive person.  If they develop these symptoms at school we will need to call you to bring the child home and possibly get a Covid PCR test.
  • Again this year MMSD will be requiring a baseline negative Covid test for allergy symptoms, even if the child has known seasonal allergies.
Thank you so much for your continued partnership in keeping our schools safe and open for all children.  Our Randall families are the best!
