Here is the correct version:
- You should get a Covid screener e-mail every morning from MMSD. If your child is healthy and coming to school, you do NOT need to fill it out. If they have one of the symptoms listed in the screener, please fill the e-mail screener out, call Randall attendance line at 608-204-3306 or use the web attendance to report your child absent, and a nurse will follow up with you. You may need to contact your provider for a PCR test if warranted.
- The symptoms you want to keep your child home for are fever, cough, congestion, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or if your child was a close contact with a Covid positive person. If they develop these symptoms at school we will need to call you to bring the child home and possibly get a Covid PCR test.
- Again this year MMSD will be requiring a baseline negative Covid test for allergy symptoms, even if the child has known seasonal allergies.
At this time if your child needs to get a PCR test for Covid, we are recommending speaking to your primary and/or using one of Dane County Public Health community testing sites. As of Thursday 9/16/2021, we are told by Dane County Public Health that there will be a limited number of MMSD Covid kiosks open from 9 am-3 pm at Thoreau, Lowell, West, Blackhawk/Gompers, Shenck/Whitehorse, Toki/Orchard, Hawthorne, Memorial, and LaFollette. You can access any of these kiosks. HERE is a link to help you access this option. Thank you for your patience and partnership in helping keep Franklin open and safe!
