Getting to Know the Bayview Neighborhood
If you've driven by Bayview recently, you've seen signs of the first phase of our complete redevelopment -- the construction of new apartments has begun at the corner of West Washington and Regent. The first of the new units will open in 2022. It's thrilling, after years of planning, to see earth moving and the foundation take shape!
The housing portion of our project is already fully funded. Bayview Rising is what we're calling the capital campaign to raise the final $4 million needed to complete the rest of it: A new, bigger community center, gardens, a playground, a basketball court, and other gathering spaces and site improvements.
Today we're pleased to share the campaign details through this beautiful short clip by Clouds North Films.
The film highlights how the improvements we're making in 2021 will ensure Bayview is as strong 50 years from now as we are today. Our new townhouses, apartments, community center, and gardens will mean we can increase the number of families who live at Bayview and double the number of people who access the community center. We can initiate new services and programs and expand our reach into the neighborhood.
We hope you'll take a few minutes to watch this video and learn a little more about the campaign, and consider making a contribution towards Bayview's exciting next chapter. And please forward to the video to anyone who might be interested in the project!
